This is a hobby, community-driven website curated by FinOps practitioners. We are not a company and we do not sell personal data.
The site is a static website that primarily publishes informational content. We aim to keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
1. Who we are
finops.tips is maintained by FinOps practitioners as a community project.
2. What personal data we collect
a) Newsletter subscriptions (Mailchimp)
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect:
- your email address (required)
This data is processed by Mailchimp (a third‑party email service provider) for the purpose of sending you updates.
b) Hosting / access logs
finops.tips is hosted on GitHub Pages. We do not run our own servers.
GitHub may process technical access data (e.g., IP address, user agent, timestamps) as part of providing the hosting service.
3. Cookies and tracking
We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies on finops.tips.
Because we do not store cookies for tracking purposes, there is no cookie banner.
(Your browser or third‑party services you use may still store their own cookies; this is outside our control.)

We use personal data only to:
- send the newsletter to subscribers
- keep the website secure and operational
